Eyes On Nigrelli

If you have only gone to franchise eye doctors, you should go to Nigrelli just once and you will “see”such a difference. Both husband and wife doctors are so informative and thorough you will learn more about your eye health than those other quick-visit doctors ever have. You will become like a family member at Nigrelli. They will know you, your eyes and those of your family. Very impressed.

Without question, Eyes on Nigrelli is the place to go for eye-care needs. I dealt with Dr. Maria during all three of my visits to their optical business, and on the last visit, I walked out with glasses that are easily the best pair that I've ever owned. These lightweight, yet durable, progressive frames are perfectly adjusted to my vision from distant viewing all the way up to reading close at … More hand. Beyond getting perfectly fitted, I have to give Dr. Maria high marks for personal warmth, having a wonderful sense of humor, and having quick confidence in steering me towards frames that were more suited for my rather large head. I'll definitely be heading back to them for my future optical needs.

Quick, efficient & professional!
I had my first visit with Eyes on Nigrelli last week and I was blown away by the feeling of a ‘family practice’.
Greeted by the always smiling Maria, she was quick to check me in and made me feel like family!
My eye exam with Dr. Jarrod was efficient and careful. I had brought my newborn into the office which they both made me feel comfortable in doing so. They … More also understood that I was still nursing and offered a safer exam option rather than the normal eye drop, to dilate and examine my eyes- they were able to modify their course of treatment/exam still giving the same results.
I did need to order a new pair of glasses, as expected, but they were more than affordable and the two week window that the glasses would be ready, was to my surprise, done in 2 days!
I highly recommend coming to Eyes on Nigrelli if you want that old school, family practice feel with amazing results!

This is a beautiful eye glasses/doctors/contact store in Westerly. Bright and airy. They were exceptionally kind in giving me a five-day sample pack bc i left mine at home while visiting my parents in RI. Without batting an eye they were eager to help. You would never see this at a chain big brand store like Lenscrafters bc they are all about maximizing Revenue. Very grateful this place exists in westerly … More

Highly recommend this practice! I called to see if they had any availability because I had something in my eye and it felt scratched and the receptionist (who was very kind and helpful) was able to get me in the same day. It is ran by a husband and wife, both of whom were so sweet and so personable. They really took the time to talk with me and explain what was going on each step of the way. I didn’t … More feel rushed in and out of the appointment like you normally are in most healthcare places. If you’re looking for an eye doctor, definitely check out Eyes on Nigrelli!

Cannot share enough good things about this practice. Beautiful, clean building, great atmosphere. Went today and already recommended to multiple friends and family members. The level of professionalism and expertise blew me away! That paired with cutting edge technology and the most lovely couple- I was so pleasantly surprised! I have quite literally never experienced an apt like this before. It was … More thorough, engaging, informative etc. These guys are changing the narrative. Sweetest couple ever, warm, friendly- the list goes on… thank you again!

I am forever grateful for the Nigrellis for a number of reasons. I was not happy with my optometrist and was told to come here. I was blown away with the exam itself and the friendliness and professionalism of the whole experience. Talk about state of the art equipment!
I need to also express my deepest gratitude for what they did for my boyfriend in an emergency. He was scheduled to go on a trip … More the following day and was experiencing an eye issue that we both felt could wait. I called and they got him in immediately. They referred him to a retinologist that day. He actually had a torn Retna that was so severe, they called it a sub-clinical detachment. Had he not been seen by the Nigrellis, the effect might have been devastating. We can’t thank them enough!!!

If this practice were to ever leave Westerly I would probably uproot my life and move with them. I've seen both Maria and Jarrod and both are thorough, knowledgeable, and pleasant to deal with. I recently had a scare and they got me in within an HOUR of reaching out to them, and made sure I saw a specialist the same day. I cannot say enough good things about them and I recommend them to everyone … More I know.

My favorite eye doctors!! Dr. Maria and Dr. Jarrod are very personable, friendly and professional. The exams and fitting of glasses are extremely thorough. They also take the time to explain everything. I’m a diabetic and wear glasses for long hours at the computer so my eye health is important. They are truly the best eye doctors I’ve ever had and I highly recommend them!

Maria and Jarrod are absolute stand-outs in this specialty. They are both extraordinarily patient, communicative, friendly, and meticulous. They take the time to explain the science behind your diagnosis and what it means in terms of care and prognosis. I was blown away by their ability to put a very anxious preteen at ease and consider the child as a whole. I am switching the rest of our family to … More their practice. They are astounding optometrists and human beings. I strongly recommend for all ages.

Perfect Experience: Friendly, Accommodating, Professional, and Informative. Some of the best service I have ever received as a medical office. They have a great selection of frames, their exam was very helpful considering I can see better than I ever have with my new glasses, and the turnaround for making us our custom glasses was impressively fast. Highly recommend going to here to get your next exam … More and glasses.

Highly recommend Eyes On Nigrelli. A change of insurance brought me in here when my existing doctor became out of network and I am so glad it did. Very knowledgeable and personal service. They were able to make my high prescription glasses right in house and turned them around very quickly. I delayed picking them up a few weeks due to a vacation, walked in on a random Saturday to get them without notifying … More them, and they greeted me by first and last name as soon as I walked in the door. It’s a family practice who seems to be building their practice by inviting their patients into their family.
